Nucleus parabrachialis medialis

This is the interior of the two parabrachialis nuclei, one of which is located on the inside of the upper cerebellar arm and the other on the outside of the cerebellar arm. Both are found on hay as well. and we. side and belongs to the Upper Pontina part of Formatio Reticularis.
The nuclei handle information from the nucleus solitarius (taste and intestinal sensation) and receive pain threads from the tractus spinothalamicus and from the spinal trigeminal nucleus and are connected to the hypothalamus, thalamus and amygdala.
