Adrenal medulla

Medulla parotid suprarenalis

The adrenal medulla secretes andrenaline into the bloodstream after sympathetic stimulation via the intestinal nerves. Adrenal marrow cells are to be regarded as highly specialized postganglionic sympathetic neurons.
The adrenal medulla is usually considered to be part of the hormone-producing organ system.

5 - 10 seconds after the adrenal medulla has been stimulated, all the body's organs that can respond to a sympathetic stimulation have been maximally activated: the adrenaline RUSH!!! And the body has been set to the highest possible physical and defense readiness!
