The accumulation/clump of primary afferent neuronal bodies found in each posterior root just before it joins the anterior root to form a spinal nerve trunk/spinal nerve. These nerve cells send one protrusion out the spinal cord nerve stem and one via the back root into the spinal cord.
All signal traffic into the spinal cord is transmitted via nerve cells that have their cell bodies in the spinal ganglia.
