Frontal lobe

The part of the cerebrum hemisphere that lies in front of the central furrow and above the lateral channel. This is where the highest thought functions are located and here we have our ability to concentrate our thinking activities around a certain task.

The frontal lobe is usually divided into 3 major functional lots:
1) Motor cortex.
2) Premotor cortex.
3) Prefrontal cortex with orbitofrontal cortex.
