Outer streak of smell

Stria olfactoria lateralis

Located in front on the underside of the frontal lobe. The striation, which consists of olfactory mediating nerve fibers from the olfactory tuber, forms the outer end branch of the olfactory web (tractus olfactorius) and penetrates into the anterior part of the parahippocampal winding and further into the almond nucleus (amygdala).
