Commissurban (DOUBLET)

Conduction pathway that stays within an o same level of the central nervous system but crosses the mean line, i.e. goes from the right side over to the left. or vice versa. Often a commissurban connects equally located areas on the two sides of the middle line. The main commissaristas are:

1/ "Great Commissur", the cerebral beam (corpus callosum) that connects the bulk of the cortex areas of the two cerebral hemispheres to each other;

2/ anterior commissura, which specifically coordinates activity in hay. o w. temporal lobe;

3/ The vault commissure, (commissura fornicis/ hippocampi), which connects the seahorse winding (hippocampus) on hay. o w. side with each other.
