Rafe nuclei, caudal/posterior/lower group

These include in order from the lower part of the bridge to the junction of the oblongated obituary in the spinal cord:
Nucleus raphes magnus Nucleus raphes obscurus Nucleusraphes pallidus

The serotoninergic signal outflow from the caudal rafe core group is primarily aimed at:
1/ a large number of brainstem nuclei, including the motor and sensory cranial nerve nuclei,
2/ the nuclei and bark of the cerebellum and
3/ spinal cord nuclei of all kinds: pain-receiving groups, motor neuron groups and autonomic - preganglionic - cell groups.
