The signals travel in primary vestibular moss filaments which exit from the
balance organ itself through the vestibularis nerve and into the brainstem to the vestibularis nuclei where lateral branches are emitted to the upper, inner and lower
vestibularis nuclei.
The stem threads continue into the cerebellum through the
lower cerebellar arm and contact
barley cells in the
nodulus cerebelli as well as in the posterior and anterior parts of the
corpus cerebellis vermisparti.
