The cochlea

Labyrinth house cochlearis

Organ of hearing, Cortic organ

In a broad sense, the term "organ of hearing" covers both the outer ear, the middle ear with the ossicles and the inner ear/cochlea labyrinth/cochlea.

Part of the carapace labyrinth is the ductus cochlearis, which contains the special device of sensory cells (the Cortic organ) that converts sound waves into nerve signals.
