Presentation of the slide scene. In this stage, you can, in cross-sections from 17 different levels through the spinal cord and brainstem, examine the distribution of nuclei (nerve cell accumulations) and conduction pathways. The spinal cord and brainstem, which are located at the front of the stage, are depicted when viewed from behind. Connected cranial nerves and spinal cord roots are highlighted in gray tone. The names of superficial structures, cranial nerves and spinal cord roots can be found in the picture "Spinal cord and brain stem 1". The cross-sectional levels are shown when you light "Cross-sectional names", their positions are marked out when you light "Cross-sectional level" and how they are turned are shown in "Sectional turning". The different levels are then presented in the different steps (steps 1 - 17). You can "jump in" at any step (All steps list below) or take them in turn from bottom to top (1 >> 17, recommended) or top to bottom (17 >> 1). At each stage, the cross-section appears on the stage to the left of the spinal cord brainstem imaging. The location of the different nuclei shows up both in the cross-sections and in the spinal cord-brainstem imaging. Conduction paths are marked only in the cross sections. There is a myriad of details here, so it is quite necessary to increase and decrease the magnification (put the pointer in the large field; increase the magnification by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking, decrease by holding down the Ctrl and Shift keys at the same time and clicking) and move around the stage as you go (put the pointer in the large field, hold more Alt key and move the image with the pointer). It is easy to get too much of a good thing if you have all the structure types lit at the same time. Choose the one you want to watch and turn off the others. When you get used to the organization, you can try running different combinations, e.g. have a couple of cores lit in combination with one or more of the different management paths. EXPERIMENT!!!! Remember that the name of a structure appears in the upper black bar when you point to the structure, click on the structure or on its name in the name list you enter the fact base.
