Step 1.

The main parts of the nervous system - overview. Here, the central (CNS), peripheral (PNS), and enteric (ESA) nervous systems are briefly presented in the same picture. Light them in turn! If you need more magnification to see the details better, just zoom up the image (click the magnifying glass enough times and move the image the way you want it using the arrow cross).

Step 2.

Central nervous system (CNS) Start by examining the "Spinal Cord"! Unfold the list. Leave "Spinal cord segments" (at the top of the list) lit. Fire down from the top, then turn and light in the ascending direction. Then deal with "The Brain". Fire down from the top, then turn and light in the ascending direction. Here, zooming and moving are needed for you to be able to perceive all the details. NB! As long as the end brain is lit, it "obscures" the rest of the brain and the pointer does not give the names of the different brain parts. Extinguish the end brain, then it works!

Step 3.

Peripheral nervous system (PNS) Make sure the three main lists (1, 2, 3 ) are folded and unchecked!! Then activate List 1 (Spinal nerves with branches, ganglia and roots. Cranial nerves.) Unfold it and light it. Fire down from the top, then turn and light in the ascending direction. Extinguish List 1, fold it! Enable List 2. Here it is perhaps best to first turn off everything in the activated list and then start from the bottom and go up. Then turn off in stages. Collapse the extinguished List 2. Enable List 3. Unfold it and light them all. Start the survey from the top and drill down the list for the first time. In other words, the opposite of List 2. Once you have got some sort of order on what is what, you can examine PNS with all three lists open, and turn on and off as you see fit. Here, zooming and moving are needed for you to be able to perceive all the details. It is a difficult and intricate structural mass! Use the factbase!! Preganglionic sympathetic threads are yellow, postganglionic sympathetic threads are light green, and preganglionic parasympathetic threads are purple. NB! In List 1, the general heading terms "Front Root", "Cranial Nerve", "Spinal Ganglion" and "Hind Root" obscure the underlying local sections. If you want to investigate the local sections, you should extinguish the above general headings. If you instead want to get an overall picture of the general terms, you should first turn off the local sections under each one. A variant is to "turn off all", click on the name you are looking for and then click on "activate".
